Orlando Magic Offseason Needs

Starting Point Guard:
The Orlando Magic really need a point guard. That is why I have them choosing Trey Burke. I really think they lucked out by losing the lottery because now they do not have to draft Noel who does not really fill a need. Jameer Nelson is not the same anymore and is no longer capable of being a starter however, he would make a perfect backup. Burke would add scoring and distributing ability. He had low agility scores at the combine, but as he showed in the Final Four that should not be a problem. There are not many options in free agency. Jarret Jack is available, but he is more of a backup rather than a starter. They could also go after Brandon Jennings, but I doubt his ability to shoot efficiently. They should draft Burke because I do not see another option awaiting them elsewhere.

Shooting Guard:
The Magic acquired Arron Afflalo in the Dwight Howard trade last season. He is a good starter, but he should not be asked to shoot 14 shots per game like he did last season. This is where Burke comes in to to take some of the load off of other players. Also the Magic don't have depth behind Afflalo. The Magic are not helping themselves out because they do not have a second round pick. They could take a swing at Kevin Martin, but he has had a poor season in OKC. There are not many shooting guards that are worth taking a look at in free agency for the Magic. They could go after Ben McLemore in the draft, but that might be a reach.

Big Man:
Vucevic looked great last season as did Tobias Harris. They also have Glen Davis and Andrew Nicholson to back them up, but they could take a run at a free agent big man if they wanted to since they have the cap space. I think Paul Millsap could be an option, but would he want to come to Orlando? This really isn't a need, but I think Millsap would do wonders in Orlando.

Overall the Magic have a decent roster to rebuild with. Maurice Harkless showed that he can play. He will take big steps as a scorer in his second season. Tobias Harris was a surprise since most thought he was a bust in Milwaukee, but when he came to Orlando and was given playing time, he showed why he was a first round pick. Vucevic averaged a double-double and was an absolute beast on the floor. Afflalo did not play well, but he should not be tasked with the scoring role because that is not who he is. Ultimately, if they draft Trey Burke they should be in good shape, not contending for the playoffs, but in good shape. If they draft Burke and he is the starter, Afflalo would be the most experienced player in the lineup with six seasons under his belt. If Burke pans out and they have another good draft next season, look out for the Magic in the future.
