Denver Broncos Offensive Tackle Competition

Ryan Clady is one of the best left tackles in the league. He recently had the franchise tag attached to him, but he is looking for a long term deal. He showed up to OTA's so I doubt he tries a holdout during  training camp when he actually has to pay for it. He needs to improve is run blocking a little, but his pass blocking is top notch. He is guaranteed to be the starting left tackle when the season starts and Manning should be thankful for that.

Orlando Franklin made major strides from year one to year two. Part of that had to do with blocking for Peyton Manning, who has a quick trigger. However, his technique has improved immensely, as did his footwork. He has always been a good run blocker because of his strength and size and if his pass blocking continues to improve, he will be one of the best right tackles in the league. He is in no danger of losing his starting job this season or any season afterwards, for the foreseeable future.

Last season, the Broncos only kept three tackles, so I assume the same will happen barring an injury to a starter. The battle for the third sport will be between Chris Clark, Vinston Painter, Paul Cornick and Manase Foketi. Clark was on the roster last season and I think he will stay on the roster, however, since Painter can play more than one position on the line, I think he will also make the roster. Versatility is key in this league and because Painter is versatile he will find a roster spot. Although I believe Clark will make the team, he is in the more danger of not making the final roster than Painter is.
