Milwaukee Bucks Offseason Needs

Let Jennings and Ellis Walk:
I know that they invested a lot of time and money into these two players, but they are both very inefficient scorers. They both shot less than 42% from the field last season, that is not going to cut it. I know the Bucks want them to be franchise players, but by the looks of it they aren't. The Bucks need to rebuild their backcourt with more efficient players.

Starting Guard:
Now that they would have let Jennings and Ellis go, they need to rebuild their back court. They need to resign JJ Redick, but I am highly doubtful that he stays. They have a decent pick since they were the worst playoff team. They should go after Allen Crabbe. Crabbe is a very good three point shooter, but he does not play well with the ball in his hands. He is better off of the ball which means they need a good point guard who can find him. Crabbe would be the last best shooting guard in the first half of the first round. It is also highly doubtful Carter-Williams makes his way through Utah and he is the last good point guard. In the second round they should have their eye on Isaiah Canaan and Erik Green. They would likely start right away even though they would be second round picks. They need anything they get and if the top player on their draft board has a PG or SG next to their name, they should take him.

Small Forward:
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is a good player, but not a starter. He should be coming off of the bench as a defensive starter. Alas, there is nobody in the draft that would likely fall to him in the first round, but in the second round they could go after CJ Leslie who is very athletic, but reportedly lacks work ethic which pushes him to the second round.

If I were the Bucks, I would go after Crabbe in the first round and snag Canaan in the second round. Canaan likely would not be the starter of the future, like Crabbe, but he could hold down the fort for a few years while the Bucks cover other needs. They should be rebuilding at every position besides center where Larry Sanders resides. They could be one of the worst teams in the league this season even though they made the playoffs. They were still very much under .500. They should be in full rebuilding mode and they can hope that they can be in a position to draft Wiggins or Parker next off season.

  1. Why should they let Jennings and Ellis go? They are very good scorers!

    1. No they are not. Neither average over 20 points per game last season and they both shot terrible from the field. They are both very overrated.
