Broncos Interested in Charles Woodson

The Broncos have reportedly flown out safety/corner Charles Woodson for a visit. I for one am hoping they sign him as quick as they can. Woodson is still a top flight ball hawk who could come in during nickel and dime situations. He would cause QB's to think twice about throwing it deep or over the middle because they would be risking an interception. He could come in for Adams, who is poor in pass coverage and shore up one of the Broncos weak spots last season.

With Woodson and Champ in the defensive backfield, QB's would be facing two of the best ball hawkers of all time. Woodson would make an already good pass defense into a great pass defense.

Woodson would also be valuable in terms of his experience. He could teach young safeties such as Rahim Moore and Quinton Carter how to defend better against the pass. Moore would be impacted the most because he could lose playing time now, but his future would only get brighter.

The Broncos should bring him in for around 2 years 4 million dollars. I think this would be a fair deal considering his age.

  1. I dont think it would be the right move because it would undermine the development of our young safeties. I want them to get as much field time as possible.

    1. I stated that he might hinder their playing time now, but the experience he brings is invaluable.
