NBA Finals Game Four Recap

After the game was tied in the first half, and only a five point game at the end of the third quarter, the Heat pulled away for a 109-93 victory. This was surprising to me because I thought the game would be close. LeBron and Wade put on scoring performances that were reminiscent of before the Finals. Tony Parker started out playing well, but tailed off in the second half. It was an interesting game overall, but in the end the Heat pulled through and won this by executing their offense to near perfection.

LebBon James had 33 points on very efficient shooting, 15-25, he also added 11 rebounds and 5 assists. The only problem with his game was the fact that he only reached the free throw line four times, which is a little concerning because his game is predicated on him getting to the line. However, it did not seem to matter this game. Dwyane Wade actually showed up and put together a very good game. He put up 32 points, 6 rebounds 4 assists and an astounding 6 steals. It was a good sign for the Heat because it was the first time in a while that he actually played well. Chris Bosh also played well, finishing with 20 points and 13 rebounds. This game was a sneak peak of what can actually happen when all of the big three members play well. Mike Miller was inserted as the starter, but he was very useless. He finished with zero points and he did not play good defense. Ray Allen was one of the top performers off of the bench. He had 14 points and a plus/minus rating of +19 which, was the best on the team. All in all, the team played its best game of the series and it showed in the way that the systematically dismantled the Spurs.

Tony Parker started off the game very well, he had 15 points at half, but he did not score any points after that. They need a better performance from their best player, but he could also use some help from the role players. Duncan finished with 20 points, but he only grabbed 5 rebounds. The Spurs need a better performance from him on the boards, because we all know he can dominate Bosh inside. Danny Green only had 10 points, but he shot an efficient 3-5 from the three point line. They should try to look for him more since he has had the hot hand this entire series. The same goes with Gary Neal, who was 3-4 from three point range. Manu Ginobli continued to play terrible. He was 1-5 from the field and had an abysmal -22 plus/minus rating. Ginobli needs to play better or he could see his minutes cut significantly. The Spurs did not have a good game at all. None of their big three played well and role players did not step up like they did in game three.

The Heat tied the series up 2-2 with great play from every member of their big three. This game was about how good the Heat can be when they have it all together. The Spurs did not play well, which obviously contributed to the Heat win. It will be interesting to see what happens when both teams play each other on the top of their games.
