Magic Want Eric Bledsoe

According to Chad Ford of ESPN, the Magic are pursuing a trade for Eric Bledsoe. They would trade Arron Afflalo for Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler and his expiring contract. This would work out good for both teams. The Clippers need a starting shooting guard and the Magic can use a point guard and could use Butler off of the bench.

If the Magic acquired Bledsoe, they would most likely draft Ben McLemore with the second pick in the draft. McLemore would be their best choice regardless, but this move would solidify McLemore as the second pick.

The Magic would then have a starting 5 of Bledsoe, McLemore, Harkless, Harris and Vucevic. That would be a very good starting 5, but they could possibly start Glen Davis and have Harris come off of the bench. That would also be a very good starting lineup.

Dont be surprised if the Magic contend for a playoff spot this upcoming season if they snag Bledsoe. He would finally give them the starting point guard they have needed for a while. McLemore would give them the superstar that they need after Dwight Howard's departure. He would give them a go to scorer on the wing.

This would be the best possible move for the Magic and if the rumor is true, they should jump on the deal as quick as they can.
