Grant Hill Retires

After 19 seasons, Grant Hill retired. He had an injury riddled career, especially when he left Detroit for Orlando. His best season was in 1999 when he put up 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists per game. His career went down hill after he went to Orlando. He suffered many injury riddled seasons while he was in Orlando. He played only 4 games in his first season, 14 and 29 in his second and third seasons and he had to sit out the entire 2003-04 season.

After he left Orlando for Phoenix, his injury issues seemed to calm down a bit and he put together a couple of very solid seasons. He never got back to being the same player he was before the injury issues, but he became a very solid player who was good at almost everything.

Many will always wonder what could have been if he would have never had his injury issues. He could have been a very great player, but even though he did have those issues, he did have a lot of solid seasons as a role player.
