According to sources. George Karl has become "Unsettled" after Masai Ujiri decided to leave Denver for Toronto. He does not like the fact that the Nuggets owners were not willing to spend money on the reining Executive of the Year. He has garnered some interest from other teams, namely the Clippers. If he left, that would be the team that he would most likely go to.
I would feel the same if I were George. If the Nuggets aren't willing to pay their top talent, what does that say about future players or even himself? George is a talented coach, even though he can be a little bit more than stubborn at times. The Nuggets need him, in order to be able to compete in the regular season.
There is a decent chance that George leaves for Los Angeles because he could feel that they are more ready to contend for a championship. He also could not want to go because he does not get along with superstars. If he leaves I think the Nuggets could possibly miss the playoffs next season. George is a very important part of the team and if he leaves, the Nuggets will soon understand that they cant contend without him. They cannot afford to make their star head coach "Uncomfortable" if they are not willing to pay important people.
