Miami Heat vs. Indiana Pacers Game 7 Preview

The Heat and Pacers have the pleasure of facing off in the first game 7 since the first round of the playoffs. They will be playing in Miami, but the Pacers have proven that they can win in Miami. The game will take place monday night, giving the teams one day to prepare for each other. It will be a very tense game for Miami. They have all of the pressure on their shoulders. If they do not win the NBA championship, it will be a major disappointment. Indiana was not expected to do much before the start of the season, so if they end up in the Finals, it will be a major win for them.

The Pacers played well in game six and pulled away from the Heat in the 3rd quarter. Lebron has had no help from Wade this series and Bosh joined in on the "no help" fad in game 7 when he went 1-8 from the field. Both Wade and Bosh need to play better in order for them to win game 7 and go onto the NBA Finals. Lebron has played very well in the conference finals, but since he has had no help, it seems like he is back on the Cavaliers again. Lebron needs help, he cannot do it all on his own. If teams don't have to worry about Bosh or Wade, they can focus more of their energy on keeping Lebron from scoring.

The Pacers have not lead in this series yet, but that does not matter since it comes down to one game. David West played game six with an upper respiratory infection, but he ended up grabbing 14 rebounds on a bad shooting night. Paul George dropped 28 points and looked very, very good. He can slow down a little bit, but his offense is what the Pacers need. They could use a little more help off of the bench, in game six, no bench player scored more than 3 points. If they get the help that they need, they should be in very good shape, in order to win game 7.

I think the Pacers will pull out the win in game 7. They have proven that they can win in Miami and they should be able to do it again. Miami will put up a hell of a fight, but if Wade and Bosh do not step up their games then I doubt Miami has a chance. It is more likely that Bosh puts up better numbers since he is not hurt like Wade. Even if Bosh does better, Wade needs to improve because if the Pacers are not afraid of him on offense then that puts more pressure on Lebron and Bosh. For some odd reason, I want a Pacers Spurs final just to throw it in David Stern's face that it would be the last Finals game he saw as commissioner. But I really think the Pacers can and will win game 7, for real.
