NBA Finals Game Five Preview

Due to the foolish 2-3-2 series set up for the Finals, game five will be held in San Antonio. Both teams will be looking to take a 3-2 series lead back to Miami. Neither team has lost back-to-back games in these playoffs, which is very interesting. Will the Heat break that streak or will San Antonio keep it going?

The Heat's big three played their best collective game of the Finals, if not the playoffs, in game four. LeBron will be looking to duplicate his good shooting performance in game four, but he needs to get to the line more. If he does, his offensive game should be even more effective, which will be the Spurs' worst nightmare. Dwyane Wade played his best game of the playoffs as well, but it remains to be seen if he can keep the production up through multiple games. Same  with Chris Bosh, he dominated game four, but can he do it again? In game five, I think Wade and Bosh will come crashing down to earth, while LeBron keeps up his production. It will be interesting to see whether Spoelstra keeps Mike Miller in the starting lineup. He was largely ineffective in game four and he plays better when he comes off of the bench. However, this lineup seemed to spark the big three so it will be interesting to see how they approach the starting lineup.

San Antonio's big three played the exact opposite as Miami's big three in game four. Duncan scored 20 points, but was dominated on the boards. He should look to be more aggressive down low because he is better than both Bosh and Haslem when it comes to getting rebounds. Parker needs to play game five like he played the first half of game four, aggressive on offense. If he can do that and score efficiently, this will be either a very close game or a Spurs win. I sincerely believe Manu Ginobli should see limited minutes in game five. He has not helped their cause and should be shown the bench. He is not shooting well or doing much else well in this series. Look for the Spurs to target Danny Green more at the three point line. He has the hot hand and Popovich will find ways to get him open.

This is now a three game series and the team who wins game five will most likely win the series. I believe San Antonio will pull out the win because they should not drop two of three on their home court. I predict Danny Green will have another good game, scoring around 15-18 points and Duncan will dominate on the boards. This will be a close game, I know I keep saying that, but I really think it will be a hard fought, tooth and nail game.
