Should The Nuggets Retire #15

Someday it might, he did great things for the city and for Nuggets basketball by turning this team into a contender and a playoff team year in and year out. Some, like Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post, think Melo's jersey should be retired to honor the success he brought this basketball team.

I think that his jersey should not be retired. Why should the organization honor someone who did not even want to be here? Yes, he had great seasons and even got the team to the conference finals and had it not been for 2 lazy passes they could have gone to the Finals and possibly won. It was clear after the bad playoff loss to the Jazz that Melo did not think this team could go anywhere with its current personnel.

He demanded to be traded, which I think was a great thing for him to do because it helped the front office decide what the best package was and that package has been pretty darn good. The Nuggets are still a playoff team and as of now, they have a better record the the Knicks. They did not lose a beat after Carmelo "1 and done" Anthony was traded.

His jersey should not be retired under any circumstance.
