Nuggets Knicks Preview

Carmelo Anthony will be making his homecoming for the first time in 2 years because the lockout shortened schedule forced this matchup to only one game which was in New York. Since the trade, Ty Lawson has turned into a viable star, and the Nuggets do not have any players left from the Carmelo
era team.

I am looking for Ty Lawson to take over this game because I do not think the Knicks have a point guard that could guard him. He should not be slowed down and should drop at least 20 and 8.

The haul that the Nuggets got for Melo included Gallo and Wilson Chandler who will face the challenge of guarding Melo in this game. Gallo has faltered since his thigh bruise injury, but Chandler has played solid basketball, providing scoring when needed and always playing solid defense. Look for Corey Brewer to provide a spark off the bench as usual. Koufos and Faried will have to keep Tyson Chandler off of the boards in order to win.

I think Nuggets fans, including me have gotten over the trade. The team got a great haul in the trade to keep this team a perennial playoff team and the Nuggets are better than the Knicks according to their records. I think we have to thank Melo for letting the team know he wanted out so we could get the ball rolling on trading him. At least he did not leave us like Toronto, Orlando or Cleveland.
