Nuggets Stun Philly

Oh you did not think it could get anymore crazy after the Chicago game? Well it did. The Nuggets trailed by 5 points with 10.5 second left then Corey Brewer hit a 3 after slipping. Denver then made Philly call two timeouts because they could not get the ball in and when they finally did, Brewer knocked the ball out of a good free throw shooters hands and it ended up in Evan Turners hands. Turner is not a terrible free throw shooter at 75%, but he was Philly's worst option on the court. I was hoping for him to split them, but he inexplicably clanked both of them and Denver got the ball back. Brewer found his hands on the ball for the final shot and he was fouled shooting a 3 pointer, something you should never do. Brewer is not a stellar free throw shooter and I was hoping he would hit two out of the three to send the game to overtime, but he stepped up to the line and knocked all three of them down to win the game.

Ty Lawson and Wilson Chandler were both out for this game, forcing Karl to experiment with new lineups. He chose to start Andre Miller who played terrible. When he left the court in the second quarter the Nuggets went on a scoring run and when he came back on it seemed to stop. I would have liked if Miller came off of the bench and Julyan Stone started, but Stone received no minutes in this game.

Randolph took most of Chandler minutes. He played ok, nothing spectacular, but he did miss some rebounds.

The Nuggets need Ty to be back on Saturday because the offense looked abysmal without him.

Good, lucky win for the Nuggets. You need a couple of those on a streak.
