Nuggets Suns Recap

The Nuggets didn't make this as a easy as they should have, Phoenix stuck around for the first half only down by 3. In the second, they finally decided to play basketball and won by a 15 point margin, 108-93. Ty Lawson played ok. He did not dominate the game, but he still finished with 19 points, on an efficient 8-13 shooting, and 6 assists, 3 of those points came on a almost half court heave at the end of the 4th. Iguodola finished with 6 points 7 assists 3 boards and 3 steals. His shooting was off, but he found other ways to contribute to the team and like always he played lock down defense.

Gallo played the worst out of any player. I think the Nuggets should shut him down for a game or two because he still may be injured. 5 points on 1-8 shooting is not going tot cut it for him. Kenneth Faried did Kenneth Faried type things. He hustled and played hard basketball. He finished with 10 points 9 rebounds and a pure hustle block on a fast break. He did let a few rebounds slip through his hands however. Koufos probably played his best game as a Nuggets notching 22 points 10 rebounds and a block. He kept the Nuggets in the game to start by scoring the first 13 points of the game. Games like these remind me why he is in the starting lineup.

The Nuggets bench played fantastic, especially Brewer and Chandler. Brewer had 20 points and 3 steals. It looked as if he finally got his 3 pointer going again after losing it for the longest time, he it 2 of them. Chandler did not have a dominant offensive night but he was efficient, scoring 11 points on 5-7 shooting and grabbing 6 rebounds and 3 steals. I like him coming off the bench, he provides the calm to Brewers frantic. Javale McGee played ok. He finished with 8 points and 5 rebounds. It is hard to say he deserved more playing time in this game because of how well Koufos played. Andre Miller did nothing spectacular putting up 7 points and 5 assists. He is always due for a couple of boneheaded turnovers a game.

Overal the teams played well and was not looking ahead to Melo's homecoming on wednesday.
