Nuggets Knicks Review

Melo's triumphant return to Denver did not go over so well. He was booed every time he touched the ball and he went 3-12 from the field for 9 points. He left early in the 3rd quarter due to his knee pain which he will have drained in New York today.

The Nuggets just destroyed the Knicks. The starters only played 3 quarters because the game was so far out of reach. Ty Lawson only had 13 points, but did not get his 4th quarter minutes, he also finished with 7 assists. He was aggressive all night and his outside shot was falling, hitting three 3 pointers. There is no one player that I could point out and say they had a bad game. It was a team effort. They came out with energy and just disposed of the Knicks. Gallo played good when he was going to the rim to draw fouls, but his outside shot was not falling.

The one thing I didn't particularly like was the fact that Karl did not play McGee in the 4th quarter of a blow out game. That would be the perfect time for Javale to refine his skills and take advantage of a playing time opportunity. However, Karl elected to play Mozgov and Randolph in garage time.

The Nuggets won this game by 30, but once the starters left the Knicks started chipping away at the lead. This is now 10 straight for Denver, marking the longest winning streak of the season and the second longest winning streak in the NBA behind the Miami Heat.
