This was a great trade for both teams. The Suns gained 2 first and second round picks while the Lakers got one of the best PG's in the league who averaged 10+ assists last season and he is a knock down shooter.
The Lakers got a big upgrade at the point. Nash is so much better than Ramon Sessions its not even funny, he is a better passer and shooter and are about the same on defense. Look for the Lakers to be contenders next year and they have a good chance to win the west and maybe even the finals. I may be overreacting, but if Nash produces anything close to what he did last season expect huge results. They did give up a lot in draft picks, but they are trying to win no for Kobe.
Lakers Grade: A
The Suns made out big considering they got anything for Nash who was a restricted free agent. They got a first round pick this year which will be very low and they got one in 2015 which should be a mid round pick. They are now in full rebuilding mode and they have 2 more draft picks to play with.
Suns Grade: A+
