The Pacers traded away Darren Collison yesterday to the Dallas Mavericks. Collison was never as good as the contract the Pacers gave him when he played because Chris Paul went down.
This is a good move for the Mavericks because they need a PG since Kidd bolted for the Knicks. Collison should be the immediate starter and he should do well since he has a reliable scorer in Dirk. Also the Mavericks got a top notch defender in Dhantay Jones

The Pacers traded away someone who's role diminished when they acquired George Hill. They weren't going to use him much anyways so it was good that they got someone in return. Ian Mahinmi is a solid center who should provide depth behind Hibbert. They also got rid of Jones and his contract, not that it was that bad, but he did not deserve it.
