McGee Turns Down Nuggets Offer

Reportedly the Denver Nuggets offered McGee a 5 year 50 million dollar deal. If this is true and McGee turned it down the Nuggets should not re-sign him. He is really not that good and he shouldn't even get 10 million a year.

All he can do is block shots and play some defense. He has no offensive game what so ever. They say he has unlimited potential, but that is what they say about players with no offense. He should get around 7-8 mil tops and it shouldn't be long term. They still need to extend Ty Lawson who actually deserves that money. Also they might decide thy want a true superstar and if so they will need money and it shouldn't be spent on a overrated center.

The Nuggets have better options for less money. Mozgov is better offensively, but he doesn't have quite the shot blocking prowess. Kosta Koufos is a decent option off the bench. They could also bring someone up from summer league or choose from a narrow variety of free agents. But I beg them not to sign McGee for more than 8 mil a year.
