Broncos Position Breakdown: TE

The Broncos barely used their Tight Ends last season, but that should change with Manning coming into play. They lost Daniel Fells, but they gained Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen. Virgil Green could be suspended for 6 games this season for breaking the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy. He didn't clear he ADHD medicine, really thats what he was suspended for.

Jacob Tamme played for Peyton Manning in previous seasons, filling in for Dallas Clark when he was injured. Tamme will be the top receiving Tight End and will give Manning another familiar target. THe Broncos also picked put Joel Dreessen, he won't be a receiving Tight End, but will be the main blocker on running plays. He is a capable receiver, but he is a much better blocker and shouldn't get many looks  on the receiving hand.

Julius Thomas was drafted as a project last season. He was a basketball player turned Tight End, doesn't that sound familiar? He needs to work on his route running to improve. He was injured for most of last season and after that he spent most of his time being not active for the games. Virgil Green could be decent, but he won't get many chance this season since he will be suspended and behind the curve of the other Tight Ends.
