Broncos Positional Breakdown: LB's

The Broncos could be in trouble at these positions as well. DJ Williams is going to be suspended for 6 games this season for testing possible for PED's It may lead the Broncos to get rid of him and his overrated butt. Wesley Woodyard will likely start in his place and he could permanently take the spot. Von Miller is going to be a beast again this season. There are a few good players, but there needs to be depth.

Woodyard will likely start at WLB and he will tear it up. He was the teams leading tackler last season and he puts up consistent numbers. He is also stronger in pass defense than Woodyard so he will be able to stay on the field for 3 downs. I have no idea who will back him up when Williams isn't there.

At MLB the Broncos re-signed Joe Mays, but watch out for Nate Irving to take his spot. Mays is not good in pass coverage and he misses on many tackles because he tries to go for the big hit too much. Irving looked promising in the pre-season, but I don't know if he can make in in the regular season. Look for him to make a push though.

At SLB Von Miller takes the starting spot here. He is a premier pass rusher racking up 11.5 sacks a pro bowl appearance and a 2nd team all pro spot. He needs to work on his run stopping, but with his pass rusher abilities he will be one of the best OLB in the league. Mario Haggan is a decent back up.
