Jordan Hamilton Ready to Crack the Rotation

Jordan  Hamilton was the 26th pick in the 2011 NBA draft, but he barely played last season. He was the odd man out in a crowded Nuggets rotation. This year it looks like he could possibly crack the rotation, maybe in the fashion of Kenneth Faried last year. The rotation still features Afflalo, Gallo, Chandler and Corey Brewer in front of him and Fournier and Qunicy Miller just being drafted. His scoring ability is what can set him apart from those players. He could come off the bench in short burst because of his ability to score. He can shoot the 3 ball or throw it down and he has the ability to rebound well. The only thing that is lacking is his defense and if he can improve that he could turn into one of the best 6th men in the league, a JR Smith 2.0 if you will. He is more consistent and he doesn't jack up bad shots like Smith.

In his first summer league game this year he put up 18 points with efficient scoring. He was shooting well and he had a great slam dunk. He does need to play better when he is fatigued because he wore down near the end of the game. He needs to work more on his stamina and that is why I believe he will be used in short stints this season.

I don't know if he will crack the rotation at the beginning of the season because of the crowded roster, but I think he could do it in Kenneth Faried style where he comes in because of injuries and never again leaves the rotation.
