The Nuggets and Ty Lawson have been trying to hash out an extension and in a recent interview Lawson said that the deal is about a month or two away. That would be great timing since the Nuggets have until October to extend his deal. Ty is developing into one if the best point guards in the league so the deal should be pretty close to the max.
Ty Lawson averaged 19 points and 6 assists during the playoffs last season where he proved he could be a team leader. Look for him to put up something around those numbers next season, probably 20 points and 7 assists as he embraces the scoring point guard role. Hopefully the team is healthy next season and he has been practicing throwing lobs to Faried and McGee.
