The Saints finally did the right thing and paid the best quarterback in the league like he is the best quarterback in the league. Brees will be earning 100 million over the next 5 years, but a lot of that money will come this season because he will be getting paid an unheard of 40 million this year! The Saints are in trouble this year since they are missing their coach and their defensive playmakers. They will be in the playoffs because of how good Brees is. Many think Arron Rodgers is the best QB in the league, but I do not fall into that category, give me Brees any day, any team.
Brees broke the record for passing yards in a season last year. The offense should be on top again this season because of him and I wouldn't be surprised if he broke his own record again this season. The Saints should finish on top of their division again.
Brees was not playing around he would have held out for the whole season if he did not get a suitable contract. The Saints would be picking in the top 10 without him that is how good he is. Now they have at least another 4-5 seasons of being championship contenders.
