Top 10 Small Forwards 2012-13

This is my list of the top 10 small forwards taking everything into account.

10. Danilo Gallinari
Gallo played well for the Nuggets last season, even leading them in scoring last season before he was injured. After he injured his foot and his hand he was never the same player and finished the season with 14.6 points 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He is the starting small forward, but I think Wilson Chandler is the better player and he will prove it new year. With Lawson and Afflalo taking over the scoring load his production will stay the same.

2012-13 prediction: 14.5 points 5 rebounds 2.5 assists

9. Gerald Wallace
Wallace has been traded in the middle of the season in both of the past two seasons. He is not what he was in Charlotte, but he is still a quality player. When he was traded to New Jersey his production went up, but he has chosen to opt out of his contract which means he can land anywhere. He averaged 13.8 points 6.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists last season, but his overall production is what helps his stock.

2012-13 prediction: 14.5 points 6.5 rebounds 3 assists

8. Luol Deng
Deng was hurt for a couple of games last season, but the injury lingered for most of the season. He scores and rebounds well for a small forward, 15.3 and 6.5 rebounds adding on another 2.9 assists. He plays defense like a mad man too He is a very underrated player in this league and with Rose being out for most of next season he will pick up the scoring load.

2012-13 prediction: 17.5 points 6.5 rebounds. 3 assists

7. Danny Granger
Granger does it all for the Pacers who are climbing their way up the eastern conference pecking order. He isn't scoring t the clip he was 3 years ago, but that doesn't mean he isn't a good player. He can still take over games, but he has more pieces around him so he doesn't have to score as much as shown by his 18.7 points, he also added 5 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He should be in for another solid year next season.

2012-13 prediction: 19 points 5 rebounds 2 assists

6. Paul Pierce
Pierce is still playing at a productive level at an old age, 19.4 points 5.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists, those 19.4 points were his most in 2 years, so was his rebounding. He may have a second wind in him, but he won't go up to pre-big 3 levels. Ray Allen is most likely leaving this offseason so his production should go up.

2012-13 prediction: 20 points 5.5 rebounds 4.5 assists

5. Carmelo Anthony
Melo wanted his trade to NY to compete for championships, guess that didn't work out. He is a scorer and that is it he doesn't do much else besides maybe rebounding. He averaged 22.6 points 6.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists, he had an unreal April averaging close to 30 points a game. He does not play defense and it really hurts his game and the fact that the ball stops in his hands, a big reason Phil Jackson won't coach the Knicks.

2012-13 prediction: 24 points 6 rebounds 3 assists

4. Andre Iguodala
Iggy has the ability to put up a triple double any night, he is the reason for the 76ers recent success. Of course, like every other offseason, he is on the trade block. If the 76ers traded him he most likely wouldn't be in the playoffs. He averaged 12.4 points 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists last season, those might not seem like big numbers, but he runs the team and is the best player on that team.

2012-13 prediction: 13 points 6.5 rebounds 5.5 assists

3. Rudy Gay
Gay doesn't really deserve the contract that he has, but he is a really good player who has a very good all around game. He scores around 20 points a game every season adding 19 points 6.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He is on the trading block this offseason so he might not even be on the Grizzlies next season and if he isn't his stats will be higher all around, but I am going under the assumption he will stay in Memphis next season.

2012-13 prediction: 20 points 6.5 rebounds 3 assists

2. Kevin Durant
I am not ready to put him above LeBron yet, Durant is a better scorer and rebounder, but James has him beat in the assists and defense department. Durant is the best scorer in the league, netting his 3rd straight scoring title with 28 points, adding 8 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He just keeps improving and he won't slow down and most likely by next year he will over take LeBron as the top small forward in the league.

2012-13 prediction: 29.5 points 8.5 rebounds 4 assists

1. LeBron James
James is still the best small forward in the league and is in consideration for the best player in the league. He won his 3rd MVP in 4 seasons with an incredible 27.1 points 7.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists and he was one of the best defenders in the league. I may not agree with his decision to join a super star team, but that doesn't mean he the best small forward in the league.

2012-13 prediciton: 27 points 7.5 rebounds 6 assists
