It is being reported that Gerald Wallace will opt out of the last year of his contract. He was traded to the Nets in the middle of the year. He most likely opted out because he knows this team is about to rebuild and Deron Williams will be leaving. This is bad for Brooklyn because they traded a high pick and players for him and if they don't get him back they will have only had him for half a year.
He will be a nice addition to a team looking to make a deep playoff run next year and could use a SF. Dallas could use him especially if they also get Williams. He could also come off the bench for a contending team.
