I have no idea what the Magic are doing now. Anderson would be there best player if Howard was traded. Maybe they traded him because they have Nicolson now, but it still doesn't make sense because they could have traded Big Baby who isn't quite the player that Anderson is.
Grade: F
The Hornets made out on this, Anderson will come off the bench as a 3 point shooter. He is the opposite of Anthony Davis and should be one of the best 6th men this year in the NBA. Look out for another great year if Gordon doesn't comeback because he may have to take a good amount of the scoring load.

NBA FA Happenings
Ray Allen to the Heat- This is one if the best things that could have happened to the Heat in the offseason. At this point in his career Allen is a knockdown shooter and that is something the Heat need. Allen is an upgrade over Mike Miller and should be the first person off the bench for the Heat.
Grade: B+
NY matching Houstons offer for Lin- NY has to do this, all they have is Kidd who is like 90 years old. Lin is a scorer and that is it he is not much of a passer and turns the ball over often.
Grade: B
76ers releasing Elton Brand- Brand was one a high contract and had to go. He was overpaid for the contract he was earning compared to the work he was doing. This opens up room for younger players to get playing time. This was a needed move for the youth movement to go in in Philadelphia.

NBA FA Happenings
Kidd to the Knicks- This is good if Melo doesn't dominate the ball. Kidd is really old, but if he runs the offense instead of Melo the Knicks should be in decent shape.
Grade: C+
Crawford to the Clippers- Crawford was terrible last year, maybe a change of scenery will help him. The Clippers need an SG and Crawford was one of the best on the market.

Lowry to the Raptors- Jose Calderon was not cutting it for the Raptors and they needed a change at the position. This was bad for the rockets because since Gordan Dragic left for the Suns not a day ago now they have no point guards. The Raptors got an above average point guard who will improve the team immediately.

Steve Nash To the Lakers
This was a great trade for both teams. The Suns gained 2 first and second round picks while the Lakers got one of the best PG's in the league who averaged 10+ assists last season and he is a knock down shooter.
The Lakers got a big upgrade at the point. Nash is so much better than Ramon Sessions its not even funny, he is a better passer and shooter and are about the same on defense. Look for the Lakers to be contenders next year and they have a good chance to win the west and maybe even the finals. I may be overreacting, but if Nash produces anything close to what he did last season expect huge results. They did give up a lot in draft picks, but they are trying to win no for Kobe.

Denver Nuggets Offseason
The Nuggets did not impress me with the first pick in the draft, Evan Fournier, because he doesn't seem to be that good and with Perry Jones III still on the board he should have been the pick. I understand the strategy, stashing a player while having a deep roster, but there were better options, but I digress.
The Nuggets should look to move Danilo Gallinari, because the Nuggets are just too deep. Gallo is not better than Wilson Chandler even though he is starting, Chandler is a better offensive and defensive player than Gallo. Gallo could net a nice bounty in picks, they would probably get at least a first round pick.

They should go into the season fielding this starting lineup: PG Ty Lawson SG Aaron Afflalo, SF Wilson Chandler, PF Kenneth Faried, C Javale McGee and SF/SG Corey Brewer, PF Al Harrington, PG Andre Miller, Timofey Mozgov coming off the bench.

The team formally known as the New Jersey Nets have been making moves this offseason. The Nets have changed more than just their name, a month ago it looked like Williams and Wallace would not be back for this season. Now they are both re-signed and the Nets added Joe Johnson while keeping there key young pieces, Marshon Brook and Brook Lopez, for a potential trade for Howard. Even if they don't land Howard they have a solid team that could possibly make the playoffs next season in a weak Eastern Conference.

NBA Free Agent Update
Deron Williams- I think Williams will end up in Brooklyn. The Mavs will make an intense run at him, however.
Gerald Wallace- Reportedly signed with Brooklyn.
Roy Hibbert- Offered a Max contract by Portland, but most likely the offer will be matched by Indiana.
Steve Nash- He will either sign with Phoenix, Toronto or New York.
Ray Allen- Allen can only be offered 3 mil by Miami. Boston and Memphis also want him and they can offer twice that. Expect this to be a tight race to get Allen.
Eric Gordon- Gordon has been courted by many teams, but he has no control over who he signs with because he is restricted.
